Drown Somewhere Pretty
Uses the illusion of safety as a metaphor for drowning in sadness — a lifebuoy (the coffee stain) that floats nearby but never fully rescues. I let the figure sink through layers of distorted color and liquid noise, as if grief keeps rewriting the surface of reality. It’s that quiet moment where you’re still breathing, still here… but already underwater — anxious, numb.
