Cathedral Stained Glass

Stained glass was the radiant soul of Gothic cathedrals. Towering windows dissolved the weight of stone into cascades of colored light, filling interiors with a celestial glow. Within these luminous walls, biblical stories unfolded panel by panel, offering a vivid scripture in glass for congregations who could not read. The cathedral thus became a microcosm of heaven, where architecture, light, and faith converged in a single, transcendent experience. This work recalls Gothic stained glass with intricate lead tracery, luminous reds and blues, and strong dark outlines that frame sacred figures. Pepe emerges as a saintly form within the panes, a playful parody that shifts the transcendent aura without diminishing the majesty of divine light.
