Block 4,605,167. CryptoKitties, the game that clogged Ethereum, woven. On 23 November 2017 the CryptoKitties contract was created. The game launched five days later, and within a week it was the busiest address on Ethereum, nearly 12% of all transactions, while unconfirmed transactions piled up about six-fold. No cats are woven here. Instead, a funnel of transactions: a wide mass jamming into a single lane, only one getting through at a time. About one in eight blocks is pastel, the kitties among everything else. The ground cloth is woven from the contract's creation transaction: it sets the threading, tie-up and treadling of an 8-shaft loom, so this pattern belongs to this transaction and no other. Top and bottom, the hash as a punch card: all 256 bits. Woven on a simulated Jacquard loom, 160 × 240 threads.
