On 11 March 2021, Beeple's Everydays: the First 5000 Days sold at Christie's for $69,346,250, the moment NFT art reached the art world's biggest stage. Two days later, in this transaction, the token reached its buyer. None of Beeple's images are woven here. Instead, his 5,000 days: one cell per day from 1 May 2007, a hundred days to a row, the colour shifting year by year from muted slate to warm light. The ground cloth is woven from the transaction's own hash: it sets the threading, tie-up and treadling of an 8-shaft loom, so this pattern belongs to this transaction and no other. Top and bottom, the hash as a punch card: all 256 bits. Woven on a simulated Jacquard loom, 160 × 240 threads.
