Block 1,920,000. The DAO fork, woven. On 20 July 2016, after The DAO hack, Ethereum split at this block: one chain reversed the hack and became Ethereum, the other kept the original history as Ethereum Classic. A bundle of sixteen threads runs down as one chain and divides into two: lilac-blue for Ethereum, green for Ethereum Classic, woven in as a brocade weft. The ground cloth is woven from the block's own hash: it sets the threading, tie-up and treadling of an 8-shaft loom, so this pattern belongs to this block and no other. Top and bottom, the hash as a punch card: all 256 bits. Woven on a simulated Jacquard loom, 160 × 240 threads.
