The Things We Watch Burn
A solitary figure sits between the noise of the world and the silence within himself. Above him, the sky breaks into chaos; around him, the sea moves, birds pass, and flowers continue to bloom. This piece is about the strange nature of being human how we can carry storms inside us while quietly witnessing the beauty that still remains.
Why I Made This:
I made this piece thinking about the moments when life changes around us and there is nothing we can do but sit with it. We watch people, memories, dreams, and even parts of ourselves slowly disappear or transform. Yet somehow, we keep looking toward the horizon. I wanted the flowers and birds to exist alongside the chaos because that contradiction feels deeply human: even when something inside us is burning, a part of us still believes that something beautiful can grow from it.
