Brushed Wild
The Whisper of the Wild
He slips across the frozen plain,
each step driven by hunger and cold.
Winter fastens its grip on his frame,
But still he moves,
swift, silent, searching.
Beneath the snow, life hides,
veiled in silence and breath.
He listens as he goes,
ears sharp to the smallest stir.
A rustle, a whisper,
a heartbeat under ice.
He weaves through pale brush,
a shadow barely seen,
drawn by instinct,
shaped by need.
Survival is his only command.
