Sound of Silence
The peak rises clean into a muted sky.
The water barely moves.
Even the air feels restrained.
I lowered the camera
and just listened.
Not for a sound exactly
but for the weight of the silence.
It wasn’t dramatic.
It wasn’t loud.
It was full.
Steady.
And for a moment
so was I.
