Edge of the Sound
The cliffs begin to fall away
and the light opens.
You feel it before you fully see it.
Behind is containment.
Ahead is exposure.
There’s a tension there
a subtle pull in the chest
between staying sheltered
and stepping into something wider.
The air felt different at that point.
Lighter.
More honest.
It stayed with me.
