The Moon Is My Guest
My home lies in ruins,
Yet it is still my home.
At night, I light a candle,
Invite the moon inside,
And sit beneath my broken roof,
Watching the stars.
I have stayed,
Not because I have nowhere to go,
But because I still have hope.
I will rebuild my home
With art,
With imagination,
With war.
From the heart of these ruins,
I will build a home
No storm can ever take from me.
