Comments: The beauty of meeting artists online is that you can always have a friend everywhere you go. This project proved to me that no matter where I went, there is someone willing to meet and show me their city. Even if we both don't speak the same language. And in some cases, there were language barriers. But the art brought us together, and we live in a time where technology can translate with near to no delay. In fact, the tech is what allows us to connect deeper. Because we can understand each other a lot easier than waving our hands with gestures and pretending what the other person is talking about in their native tongue. We have the tools to communicate and there is no excuse. At the end of the day we are all communicating the same things. What to have for dinner, how we feel today, what happened at work. Every day life is common all around the world. We all face the same things, just in different languages. Ironically, it feels as if we reached the point in evolution where if you refer to the Bible, there was a story about the tower of Babel which humans were trying to reach the heaven. Everyone spoke the same language and can understand each other. Then we were all separated around the world to create new forms of communication and dialects. We are at the point where we have regained a collective consciousness. Though we are not reaching heaven, in a way we are trying to become god through the tools we built for a heaven on Earth! We can now talk to anyone in the world in any language with our phones, or even Artificial intelligence as the interpreter. We are all connected more than ever, not just with online but with how we can talk to each other. We can progress to live in the Age of Cooperation because we can communicate clear our intentions and ideas without delay of learning each other's language. We can find common ground as we share common experiences. I met with Petra in the beautiful park of Chapultepec. He does not speak English and my Spanish is alright. We hung out for hours walking through the park, climbing trees and making art! We understood each other. Art was our native language, a dance. We took turns speaking into the phone to listen to one another. When you think technology takes you away from the moment or creates a medium between you and the world, it actually did the opposite. It grounded me in the present moment, to listen carefully and connected us deeper to what was happening. It created empathy because we were able to understand one another. We were able to open up. We live in an age of information and intelligence. So let's use it wisely and connect with each other and the world around us more and more!
