Comments: Voyage leader, Jonathan Zaccaria, took us out in the morning sun for a private ride on the Zodiac to create adventurous portraits of him in action by the Antarctic peninsula. Surrounded by snow capped Andes mountains and icy glaciers breaking off into the ocean. You can hear the crackling miles away like an echo of the Earth shattering. The water a crystalline blue that exists nowhere else. The purest place on Earth. Untapped by human traces, other than the boats that traverse through the landscape every once in a while. Does that add to the pollution and co2 in the atmosphere? Visiting this sacred place that only the animals dwell and thrive. Is it right for us to be there? Is there a corner of the Earth we can let go and let live without controlling the outcome. A peace treaty written by all nations that no nation can claim Antarctica for its own. Only inhabited for science, to understand the planet better; its history and future. Where did the land arrive from, and where did all the snow fall? How will the snow melt and what will that do for us all? Can we control the rate of the rising tides, or is that hubris thinking us humans can change the world? Our actions polluting from industrialization. When will we as a species think through regeneration. Long term lifespan rather than short term gains. What is more important wealth, or our life on Earth? Will we ever become a symbiotic species that heals the world than drains her oil and blood. WIth the right leadership and values. Thinking for the next 10,000 years instead of the next 10 months. Shifting our mindset from survival to caretaking. Humans were born to be the custodians of mother Earth. She provides all our needs for free. Where did money come and trick us into this system of greed? It is time for us to be freed from the illusion and share in the abundance. Where each tree bears a hundred fruits, and each fruit a hundred seeds. That is true abundance, that which multiplies from the original. A fractalized system that was here before we were born and evolved into this thinking being in which we became. Will we return to nature, integrate before it's too late, or destroy ourselves and the ice in the Antarctic before it's too late and the coasts are flooded again like Noah and Gilgamesh? I have faith in humanity, we can overcome as we have for the last 10,000 years of written history. Passing the wisdoms across new generations, teaching our woes and mistakes, to create a future for humanity to reach the stars and bear fruits on other planets just like Earth.
