Comments: Kevin invited me to breakfast at his part of town where he grew up called, Toa Payoh. When I arrived I was greeted by a kind smile and a big bowl of noodles and eggs. He was with his shy girlfriend who did not like to be photographed. While we were eating we were discussing digital art and the future of NFT technology. We both came to an agreement that we are at the right place at the right time in this art movement. After we had finished eating we walked over to his apartment complex. Kev wanted us to do the video shoot at the Dragon playground where he used to play as a kid. It was a sense of nostalgia and connecting to roots of childhood. It took a few tries asking his beloved girlfriend to be a part of the shoot. She reluctantly agreed and faced the opposite way on the horsie seesaw. It was her way of being in the shot, without being in the shot. When you make portraits of people your job is to make them feel seen and beautiful. Honoring the subject always with deep respect. Find the light that lands on them to make them look and FEEL good about themselves. Our superpower is making people fall in love with themselves in how you see them and see the world; It's beauty. To see the light in others. The dragon is the protector. A symbol of flight fantasy. 2024 was the year of the Dragon, and we all rode in on the royal red dragon right through the town. Bringing in the year with an ancient cosmic force. Do dragons still exist? The fire they breathe, the wings they flap, and the treasure they guard is all real. Representations and states of emotions. Like passion, flow, and wisdom.
