The deep shadow covering the face of the female figure symbolizes the incomprehensible face of fate and time, while the world disk she holds in her hand whispers how flexible and fictionable the universe is. The tiny human being standing in the deep well below, on another sphere, with his arms open to the sky, is the purest mirror of the human soul, which both disappears in the face of eternity and bears witness to it.
