This work does not seek to draw a direct parallel between the millions of Jews, and not only Jews, exterminated under Nazifascism and the Palestinian people. Rather, it questions the role of the bystander in the face of genocide in 2026. How is it possible that, after knowing and studying the horrors of Nazifascism, humanity can once again find itself confronted with violence against a defenseless population, and that these dynamics can be repeated through similar forms: in propaganda, in actions, and above all in the presence of indifferent and complicit bystanders, those who watch, who know, but choose not to intervene, not to denounce? And yet, there have been those who chose not to remain indifferent or complicit. Those who chose to speak, to write, to denounce, to take a stand.
