Long before the forest learned to fear fire...
there was a woman who came every evening
and sat beneath the same trees.
She never spoke.
She only smoked.
But the smoke never rose toward the sky.
It followed her.
They say the flame above her head was once a secret
she had buried so deeply
that even she had forgotten it.
Until one night,
the fire returned.
And when the villagers came looking for her the next morning...
they found only an empty bench,
a burning cigarette,
and footprints leading deeper into the forest.
No one knows where she went.
But every night since then...
the forest smells faintly of smoke. ๐ฅ
