Harriet Waghorn Date: October 2025 Unveiled at Art Blocks Weekend 2025, Plinths marks object designer Pakmanscoop's first generative collection. The series comprises seven light sculptures, each a rectangular form emitting programmed light. Together they trace a familiar emotional arc: the ebb and flow of euphoria and anguish rendered as light, colour, and rhythm. Presented at glitch Gallery, it is the artist’s first large-scale collaboration in generative object design. Alongside the static installation, the gallery premiered Shadow Box, an interdisciplinary performance situating the sculptures within live improvisational dance. Choreographed by Harriet Waghorn in collaboration with gallery director Madison Page, the piece treated the objects not as backdrop but as participants, their shifting light shaping the movement in real time. Plinths materializes generative art beyond the screen. The work insists on physical presence, on the object as a medium for generative algorithms. Seven states, seven forms. A meaningful study in repetition and variation.
