Direction
I was drawn to this scene by its powerful geometry. The triangular shadow against the red wall naturally framed the composition. But I felt like the picture needed one more element, so I waited for a single person to walk through the scene.
Several people passed by, but I was looking for someone whose position and movement would complete the composition. Then one person walked into the tip of the shadow and moved in the same direction it seemed to be pointing; everything came together for a brief moment, and I took the shot.
