The Silence After the Screams
There are moments in life that do not end when they are over.
They continue living somewhere inside us, in our memories, our fears, our reactions, and the quiet spaces of our minds that no one else can see.
The loudest moments are sometimes followed by the deepest silence. A silence filled with questions, memories, and the invisible weight of everything we have survived.
This piece is about the aftermath of pain, the parts of ourselves that remain after difficult experiences change us. The broken pieces, the hidden wounds, and the strength it takes to keep moving forward while carrying what we cannot simply leave behind.
The fragmented layers represent the memories that overlap with the present, the moments when the past finds its way back into our lives, and the struggle of finding peace within ourselves.
But survival is also a quiet kind of courage.
Even after the screams fade, there is still a heart that keeps beating.
Still a soul searching for healing.
Still a light waiting somewhere beyond the darkness.
