THE DAM x UCLA (2026)

LA Horizon - Infinite 3D Render

I used Claude code to generate the underlying p5.js. Running inside an integrated TMUX session within the MacOS terminal. 2x2 layout. Three separate Claude code sessions each for separate parts of the project. One for building generation, one for movement mechanics and one for the background + sky. Lastly I had one HTML management terminal to ensure that I could view what I was working on and tweak my designs as iterating. Medium: p5.js made with Claude code Artist Bio: I grew up in South Africa. I study economics at UCLA and am graduating in Spring 2026. Interested in blockchain and crypto applications. I have a blockchain company focused on the applications of NFTs and Fungible tokens. Mostly surrounded around stable coins and tokenized assets. It's called Vaulto. This is one of the first NFTs I have ever made and looking forward to seeing the final product. Artist Statement: The project is called “The Balance of Utopian Dystopia.” As the camera pans to the left, the p5.js sketch transitions into a darker, more dystopian landscape, with more buildings and planes, a red sky, and large corporate structures. As the camera pans to the right, the buildings recede, grass begins to grow, and trees start to appear, shifting the scene toward a more utopian environment. The world also randomly alternates between panning left and right to reflect how much is outside of our control, while still allowing the user to influence the direction with the left and right arrow keys.
