The Bard of Songs Yet Born

After FamilyDogecoin kept the flame upon the Everflame Crossing, the Orb of Blockchain passed into lands where only the foolish, or the drunk dared to sing. There, under moonlight, sat Maxpretends; a half-mad bard with a wooden cup in hand and two loyal bottles by his boot. The Orb drifted beyond dead roads and moon-rotted fields, until it reached the Mire of Hollow Songs, the deadliest swamp in Oth-Xa’rath, where the reeds whispered stolen names and things beneath the black water learned a man’s voice before eating him. And there, where silence should have ruled, someone was singing. He sang as if no monster had ever been born. “Isabel,” he sang into the dark, “Isabel, where did the morning go?” The swamp answered with bubbles. Maxpretends raised his cup. “Aye, beautiful reply, but your rhythm is terrible - hic!” Then pink light gathered between the reeds, and the Orb appeared above the black water, glowing like a future that had lost its way. The bard blinked at it. “If you are death,” he said, “you are late. I have already opened the second bottle.” Then he took another sip, just to make his point. “I am not death,” said the Orb. “Good, then drink or listen.” he said. “I have come to listen.” For the first time that night, the bard lowered his cup. The Orb pulsed softly. “You sing of Isabel as if she were one woman.” said the Orb. “She is,” he said. “No,” replied the Orb. “She is a door. One day her name shall become a musical, and that musical shall cross seas, tongues, kingdoms, and machines. It shall touch souls you will never meet, in places your songs cannot yet travel.” He looked toward the black swamp. “And will they understand her - hic?” he said. “They will understand longing,” said the Orb. “They will understand laughter before sorrow. They will understand the ache of a voice trying to survive time.” The bard grew quiet. Around him, the monsters in the mire listened. “So I am not merely drunk,” he whispered. “I am early.” The Orb shimmered. “All true songs are.” The beloved bard smiled, lifted his cup, and sang Isabel again; louder this time, without fear, while the swamp held its breath. And somewhere inside the Orb, between code and memory, the first note of Isabel, a future Nouns Musical, was sealed.
