"For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream." — Vincent van Gogh Some photographs demand everything you have - and this was one of them. Behind the serene beauty of this shot was raw struggle. It was physically punishing, pushed through while dealing with a terrible stomach illness where even sitting up was a challenge. It was mentally exhausting, coming on the third day of endless driving with virtually no sleep. Technically, it was a whole new challenge, shooting a massive panorama using both a regular and an astro-modified camera for the very first time. The post-processing alone was an effort, wrestling with huge resolution and endless tiny details. Yet, all that hard work paid off completely. This isn't just another photo; it is THE photo of the whole trip. A true dream captured in the dark. Photo by Alexander Seleznyov May 13, 2026 - Quiver Tree Forest, Namibia
