An American Record
Edmund
Edmund Kemper, also known as the Co-Ed Killer. Active in California between 1972 and 1973. He was convicted in 1973 and has not died—he is serving multiple life sentences in a California state prison.
An American Record exists to register recurrence. The works are presented as entries, not portraits, and resist narrative or dramatization. Individually, they are incidents; collectively, they reveal a pattern sustained over time.
This collection does not seek interpretation or empathy. It functions as documentation—marking what was repeated, what was overlooked, and what was allowed to continue.
