Dennis Rader, known as the BTK Killer (Bind, Torture, Kill). Active primarily between 1974 and 1991 in Kansas. He murdered 10 people. Arrested in 2005 and convicted the same year. Currently serving 10 consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. An American Record exists to register recurrence. The works are presented as entries, not portraits, and resist narrative or dramatization. Individually, they are incidents; collectively, they reveal a pattern sustained over time.
