THE WEIGHT OF EVERYONE I'VE LOST

THE WEIGHT OF EVERYONE I'VE LOST

I used to believe that when people left, they took their place in our lives with them. But I was wrong. They leave behind the smallest things. A familiar laugh that suddenly appears in a stranger's voice. A song that makes an ordinary afternoon unbearable. A photograph you can't bring yourself to delete. A name you still search for in places where you know it will never appear. I've lost people to distance. To time. To silence. To misunderstandings that became permanent. And to goodbyes I never had the chance to say. At first, I tried to forget. I thought moving forward meant leaving everything behind. But every time I let a memory fade, it felt like losing that person all over again. So I began carrying them. One memory. One empty place. One unfinished conversation at a time. Until the weight of everyone I'd ever loved became part of who I was. Some memories are gentle. Others are almost too heavy to bear. And among all the empty places I carry, there is one I still protect more carefully than the rest. People tell me I should let go. That life continues. That I cannot spend forever carrying what is gone. But how do you put down the only things you have left of someone? How do you release a memory when it's the last place they still exist? Perhaps grief isn't always about refusing to move forward. Perhaps sometimes, it's simply love with nowhere left to go. **They are no longer here to hold me.** **But I am still holding all of them.** And if carrying them is the price of remembering… **Then let me be heavy.** --- *The Weight of Everyone I've Lost is an original conceptual fine-art sculpture by RENIXA.* *A monument to the empty places that remain occupied in our hearts.*
