UNBECOMING is a reflection on the quiet unraveling of self within relationships and the human experience of coming undone. States of FOG and FRACTURE embody the duality of this experience: the hazy numbness of paralysis and the demoralizing inevitability of a breaking point. Together, they illuminate the ways relationships can unravel: subtly, violently, or somewhere in between. The viewer is invited to explore the gray areas where these states overlap by moving a cursor or finger over the interactive HTML artworks. Mirrors and eyes appear frequently as provocations: symbols of confrontation, manipulation, loss of agency, and self-perception. They evoke a tension between what’s known and unknown, between vulnerability and power, and ask the viewer to consider their own struggles with identity and connection. These elements bear silent testimony to the insidious imprints left by the ways control is both wielded and endured, reflecting how relationships can fracture and irrevocably reshape our identities. NULLIFIED is a unique piece in the series and encapsulates the complete erasure of self. In contrast to the shifting dualities of the other works, viewers can simply click or tap to change its state, instantly switching between GONE and RESIDUE. The stillness underscores the gravity of its theme, standing apart as both a visual and emotional anchor in the series. At its heart, UNBECOMING speaks to the deeply human desire to understand ourselves through the lens of our relationships. Each artwork title is a journey through the fragmented terrain of identity, reckoning with how we are molded and often undone by the invisible currents of power, control, and connection. Created throughout 2024, this series is a personal statement made universal: a quiet tribute to the vulnerability, strength, and ambiguity that define the human experience. — Process and Medium The initial images were created using Midjourney v6, refined through extensive digital manipulation, and finalized with Transient Labs' Dynamic Art Engine. — ERC-7160 Once an artwork is minted, new interpretations are added by the artist thanks to the capabilities of the ERC-7160 standard, empowering collectors to explore multiple perspectives within a single token.
