They Were Wrong by ENDODECA

An interactive music single with a side of vibes—and lagniappe for good measure.

S is for Soundtrack

When you first land inside, don’t hunt for menus. Just press S like you’re saying “start.” The song blooms and, for a split second, the cover flashes like house lights dimming. If you want the picture to take the whole wall and the chrome to disappear, tap F or M. That’s the clean, gallery view. While you’re there, T flips the title style—same music, new frame—so you can choose the one that feels right for the moment.

feels good man

Feeling bold? Press P. The look leans into higher contrast, a little more swagger. While you’re in that mood, type k e k—just those letters in a row—and you’ll watch the background ease from one related image to another. No jump cuts, just a smooth change of clothes.

L is for Lagniappe

Sometimes you want a keepsake image you can sit with. L is for Lagniappe—a little extra. The whole screen becomes a single still with the signature resting in the corner like a wax seal. When you’re done admiring it, tap L again and the room goes back to live.

I is for Interactive

If curiosity kicks in, I is your friend. It brings up a simple card in the middle that speaks plainly about what’s going on. Tap I again and it floats away.

Oh wow you're still here?

Down near the floor there are two small pulsing dots you can summon with D. Think of them as quiet ushers. Hover the purple one and it offers a short note; hover the red one and it shows a contact card. They’re there for the builders and the curious, and the complimentary. About the right‑hand panel: on a wide screen it slides in like a tidy backstage. The label mark sits up top; the square in the middle usually shows the album cover. If you’d rather read a short note there—maybe where to find more music—press X and the picture becomes words. If that whole panel ever feels like it’s crowding you, H hides it; H brings it back when you’re ready. The play square at the bottom glows softly while the song breathes. You can click it any time to start or pause. If you like little talismans, N toggles a tiny counter in the upper left that counts how many times you’ve started the track during your visit. It’s only for you and vanishes when you leave. And when you want a hint of celebration with no strings attached, tap 4 and watch small hearts drift up from the signature, like confetti that knows when to quit. None of this locks you in. When you want a fresh start, press B. The door reopens, the chime is gentle, and the room is ready to meet you again.

What is Lagniappe?

People sometimes ask about Lagniappe. It’s a word from Louisiana that means “a little something extra.” In this world, it’s a key you can press to bring up a special, full‑screen image—an extra gift the piece keeps in its pocket. No tricks. Just an unexpected kindness.
