Transient Curated is pleased to present P⊙RTR∆ITS, a series of code-based portraits by Cemhah, releasing June 17th, 12 PM EDT.

Each piece begins from a defined emotional state and runs through a custom generative system, producing unique portraits with diffuse particles. Thousands of these particles accumulate into something recognizably human, before drifting apart again. Mirroring the constant change in people, color, form, and density shift constantly in the works, more closely reflecting the memories, moments, and emotions that make up a human, rather than their physical form itself.

I've always been fascinated by how people change.

Not over years, but from moment to moment.

A conversation. A memory. A loss. A moment of joy. Curiosity. Wonder. Anxiety. Love.

Small experiences can quietly transform how we see ourselves and the world around us.

P⊙RTR∆ITS emerged from this observation.

The collection explores the idea that identity is never fixed. We move through life carrying countless versions of ourselves, shaped by our emotions, experiences, relationships, and memories. Some of these versions stay with us. Others disappear as quickly as they arrive.

Each portrait begins with an emotional state. Rather than depicting a specific individual, the works attempt to capture something more universal: the fleeting moments that shape who we become.

To create the collection, I developed a custom system that continuously transforms and reconstructs portraits. The process balances intention with unpredictability. While each portrait begins from a defined emotional starting point, the final outcome is never entirely known in advance.

Faces emerge, dissolve, fragment, and reform. Familiar features appear for a moment before drifting into something unexpected. The system introduces chance, allowing new identities and emotional qualities to surface through the process itself.
