BLACK HOLE RECEIPTS
You might have seen the term ReceiptDAO floating around, a bit of a joke and a wink to those who threw their money into a black hole. This happened because of the events commemorated by this NFT. To commemorate October 11th, 2024, when Noah Bolanowski stumbled upon a hidden link tied to an old XCOPY piece. From Jediwolf's thread: "In April 2018, the same month SuperRare's genesis piece 'Echoes of a Dead Earth' was minted, XCOPY announced 'BLACK HOLE,' a 100/100 edition. No visible links, unknown platform." Noah discovered a reblog of 'BLACK HOLE'—a link that still worked. He jumped into MLow's community chat, and soon, he and Serc minted, receiving receipts. We all joined in, tossing money into the void and getting Coinbase receipts, unsure if we'd get anything else. We investigated contracts, history, and contacted people. It felt like an unfolding mystery. We knew it would probably lead nowhere, but the fun was in the exploration. Quoting Jediwolf again: "The original Tumblr post was removed by XCOPY long ago, and the Coinbase payment gateway is now lost. Only a repost with a working link remained, found by @Noahbolanowski." In the end, we all had receipts—and an experience. For a moment, we had Schrödinger's XCOPY: ownership in superposition, waiting to see if it was real. It could have gone either way. This token commemorates the day we all threw our money into a black hole—a bizarre piece of performance art. Even after it was confirmed that the black hole led nowhere, people kept minting nothing but a receipt, joining the joke of ReceiptDAO. If you ever find that link, throw your money in and look at Etherscan—see the list of names of those who wished before you. This event even got mentioned in Roger Dickerman's 24 hours of art, and also got mentioned in Cozomo Medicis "Medici Minutes" newsletter, where he confirmed that he even discovered this same exact link, and put in money and received a receipt as well, a long time ago. So the history of this ghost ship of an NFT is long and storied, and no doubt people will discover this link again, and this will probably all unfold in the same way.. Money will get thrown en masse, into a black hole. XCOPY Black Hole asset used under CC0. Additional hands/receipts AI generated.

IDEATION
The Mask does more than protect our identity; it also conceals our feelings and presents something archetypal to the world. Behind the mask lies a mess of complicated, conflicting emotions. IDEATION represents the mask of a creator through their work. In IDEATION, the audiovisual presentation reflects the struggle of the inner critic. Finding a balance between self-critique and creativity is crucial for artists. Self-critique maintains the quality and effectiveness of the work, but excessive criticism can prevent its release and support. Ideation captures the critical forces at play when a creator releases work. The audio and visual components create a narrative loop that commemorates and critiques my work, addressing the piece's inherent theme.
