Probably Misreassembled

I was not meant to return as I was. Something failed in the reconstruction. Not everything aligned. Not everything came back. Fragments persisted — but not in their original order. Memory slipped. Meaning distorted. Silence filled the missing connections. What emerged is functional, but not exact. Recognizable, but wrong in ways that cannot be corrected. The structure holds — but not the way it used to. A system attempting to stabilize after losing its original form. This is not recovery. This is misreassembly. Probably Misreassembled explores states of reconstruction that do not resolve. Across the works, identity is not restored but rearranged — held together through fragments that no longer align with their original context. Each piece reflects a different condition of persistence: what is preserved, what is altered, what is withheld, and what remains out of reach. There is no return to a prior form. Only continuation through misalignment. The figures exist in a structure that holds, but does not fully reconcile itself.
