Schematic n' Scores is a procedural homage to score-as-image. After John Cage, Krzysztof Penderecki, John De Cesare, Frank Lepold and the beauty of emergence. Every piece is generated from a combination of ten visual vocabularies. Each vocabulary inspired by artists, engineering schematics, traditional notations and more. While the generator for the project is available for anyone interested to play with, along with an open communal Journal section where composers can share their outputs, this on-chain minted collection of 50 works acts as a more formal curated representation of the system steered by my own bias and preferences. 40 of the outputs being hand-curated, tuned and selected from personal time spent with the generator, while the other 10 are outputs from friends, family and visitors of the generator that I've gathered. Frank Lepold's Kasse II, a geometric score built across four faces, is the main work that inspired the entire start of this explorative art experiment. Frank passed in 2023 and I still think about his work often, so part of this collection is hoping his memory gets carried a little further through an invisible thread of creative inspiration.
