Voice of a Pahadi
Voice of a Pahadi (Animated)
I want the entire world hear about the Story of my Hills, My Pahad.
Telling about the culture of Uttarakhand, the Devastating deforestation it is currently facing and the daily loss of it's culture since people from Villages migrated to Cities.
On top left till half Inside of the face , at the top you will see a small illustration of "Khait Parvat"
Locals often call it "Pariyon ka Ghar" meaning "The Abode of Fairies".
The mountain is considered a mysterious and adventurous place, with stories of people being taken away by the fairies, particularly those who make noise or wear vibrant colors.
Even in the art you can see a bright red colored person is being attracted towards hills by the flow of strokes.
Just above the face on top left is an illustration of Hotel demonstrating how big business persons are purchasing eco sensitive zone in Hills of Himalayas and converting it into luxury business, worst part is they have the massive support of Local Government.
Just down of the hotel in the face there is a mountain crying as government are clearing out forest in masses here. People are protesting but in front of authority power and money coming to government, they see nothing.
Below on bottom right of the face in brown color shows the famous Chipko Aandolan (Chipko Movement). In 1973, villagers of Mandal village in Chamoli district heard that the government had given a large plot of forest to a sports goods company for logging. The local people, especially women, were deeply worried as they depended on these forests for daily needs. Led by Gaura Devi, a brave village woman, the women played a crucial role in protecting the trees. Gaura Devi, along with other women, confronted the loggers and inspired everyone to stand firm. When the loggers came, villagers embraced the trees, stopping axes from striking. This simple act of hugging trees became a powerful symbol of resistance.
Also on the faces are leaves telling about the stories of forest, a pahadi hat with a bitcoin chart. Pahadi people dancing and celebrating, an Aipan Art Mandala on bottom right of the face ( a traditional art form of Uttarakhand).
At the bottom is Masan Devta
which is a powerful folk deity worshipped mainly in the Garhwal and Kumaon regions of Uttarakhand. He is considered the protector against evil spirits and black magic, and is often seen as a fierce form of Lord Shiva.
His sword is connected through leaf veins to the Hotel demonstrating how nature fights back with these illegal constructions by landslides and animal attacks on these areas pointing a key terms of how nature is fighting back with the greed of the humans.
A pahadi man wearing traditional pahadi attire and a pahadi woman cubism face wearing Pahadi nath( a traditional pahadi jewellery) are seen on left and right Individually.
On the top right above the face is "Tilu Rauteli" the brave daughter of Garhwal, was a warrior princess who fought at just 15 to defend her land and honor. Born in the 17th century, she led battles against invaders after losing her father and brothers, becoming a symbol of courage and sacrifice. Even today, her spirit lives on in folk songs and jagars, inspiring Garhwali women to rise strong and fearless like her, often called the Rani Laxmi Bai of Garhwal.
Now the purpose of the creation is a hidden message inside the art.
An illuminati inside head holding a bitcoin and a node stick telling how I believe the migration of people to cities can be stopped by if we solve the root cause that is earning, since ages pahadi people are either involved in farming or they send their kids to army or government job , since there are no private sectors here because of less availability of commercial land. While the government is busy selling agriculture land illegally to businessman , if I can tell more people about the power of Crypto, Satoshi Nakamoto and jobs available in web3 , then maybe the migration can be stopped at some level. Till now I have told many farmers in hilly areas who can use miners powered with solar electricity for heating their houses instead of heaters for generating income. Since they are unknown to this technology, they are curious and ready to invest in things like these now instead of selling their land for cheap prices . A Ethereum chart swastika like pattern on bottom right denotes how combining web3 to the people of hills can impact on a much greener future for my State.
In Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and many Eastern traditions, the swastika is a sacred, auspicious symbol. It represents good luck, prosperity, the sun, and well-being.
