99 Faces of Eternity

Even though we all live in the same Universe, it reveals itself to each of us uniquely. The series “99 Faces of Eternity” explores the Universe as a personified, identified, yet shifting entity. Created with a custom built glitching process, the result is an endless iteration of the same image, meeting our gaze differently. Whether the Universe is eternal or not, is besides the point. It might as well be, as we never got to see its beginning, nor will we ever experience its end - only the version it chooses to show to us at any given time. The number 99 is significant. One short of a 100 it signifies an endless approach, no arrival. It also signals imperfection. How the Universe expresses itself is just a fragment of a much bigger picture, and how we perceive it is limited by our senses. Each piece is distributed as a blind mint, so collectors have no more say in which face they receive than any of us have in how Eternity - or the Universe - decides to meet us.
