D Minor III is an original physical MUSIC GRAFFITI painting. While this ERC-7160 token represents ownership of the physical painting - including free global delivery to the collector - it also includes a series of further iterations and evolutions of the work under the FEEDBACK LOOPS methodology. This includes audiovisual MP4's, PHREAK MUSIC Sound in both digital format and a single edition 'dub plate' 12" vinyl picture dish featuring the sonic pattern (shipped to the collector free) - and GLITCH BREAK remixes. The principle digital remix of the painting can be activated in AR when viewing the painting directly from a smartphone browser - using a proprietary program (non-app based) that is supplied via a QR code to the collector - and on the back of the painting. Any future iterations of the work will be added to this multi-creation token. MUSIC GRAFFIT Details: Each MUSIC GRAFFITI painting represents the interpretation of a musical idea or thought into a sonic visual concept - essentially a reverse-engineered graphic score. Each painting is also the genesis node in a sequence of recursive phase space transformations between the sensory spaces of Sound & Vision, Music & Art and physical/digital forms. The key for each painting is selected by scanning the background pattern through a combination of visual synthesizers, and selecting the key that produces a sound that best complements the visual effect. Essentially, the paintings produce their own ‘music' with the choice of key qualitatively determined by the sound produced. The single large black music note acts as an identifier and is inspired by the stencil culture associated with a first wave street art aesthetic. The paintings feature textured three dimensional ‘architectural’ surfaces built up in layers of silica and paint. Dimensions are approximately 61cm (W) x 91.5cm (H) x 3.8cm (D) / 24” (W) x 36” (H) x 1.5” (D) - Aspect ratio is 2:3 MUSIC GRAFFITI paintings - and their derivatives - have been exhibited internationally across three continents.
