Isálè Èkó

Isálè Èkó is a Yoruba word that translates to "downtown Lagos". Isálè Èkó in many ways holds a veritable trove of history. From the custom of Isésè festival, passed down to the history in our landmarks; the mastery in Mamà Sadia's Ewa Agonyin; the strength in our language like the many voices in the streets would say ‘Kowopé’ (money). Kowopé, even our houses stand tall above the cloud. And somewhere beneath, our afro tunes bury holes in our ears, ringing Èkó lèlèyi! This is Lagos, This is Home.
