Anahita is one of the most important goddesses in ancient Iranian mythology, symbolizing pure waters, fertility, wisdom, and war. Known in the Avesta as "Ardvi Sura Anahita," meaning "the moist, strong, and immaculate one," she is often depicted as a beautiful and powerful young woman riding a chariot drawn by four white horses, wearing a golden cloak. Anahita was revered as the protector of life, the fertility of the earth and humans, the purity of waters, and even victory in battle. During the Achaemenid and Sasanian periods, numerous temples were dedicated to her.
