I became my own wound.
The pain I carry isn’t something I can place on anyone else. I know where it came from because I was the one who caused it. I can look for reasons, make excuses or wish things had been different, but at the end of the day, I can’t blame anyone but myself. And maybe that’s what hurts the most, knowing that the person I need to forgive is the same person who caused the wound.
