According to ideas,the Triune Goddess ("White Goddess of Birth, Love and Death") is revered in the forms of "virgin", "mother" and "old woman", which correspond to the three stages of female life and the three phases of the moon: the young moon, full moon and old moon. The triune goddess is identified with the Greek moon goddesses: Artemis is the maiden below, as she was a virgin and goddess of the hunt; Selene is a falling maiden, as she was the mother of Endymion's children ; Hekate is a pale maiden, as she is often associated with the underworld and magic, and is therefore considered the "Queen of the Witches". The image of the Triune Goddess is in many ways close to the image of the archetypal Mother Goddess, revered by many peoples; in a number of mythologies, there are also “female triads” (three Harit, three Moir), some of which fully correspond to the incarnations of the “White Goddess(foremother -woman-daughter).
