Once Alive
As children, we looked at the world with endless curiosity, where even the smallest things felt alive in ways we couldn’t explain. Somewhere along the way, responsibilities replaced that wonder and certainty slowly took the place of imagination. Life became heavier, more serious, more focused on what needed to be done rather than what could be discovered.
But wonder never really disappears. It just gets buried beneath the noise of everyday life, quietly waiting in the background of everything we become. And sometimes, when the world grows quiet enough and our minds are not running so fast, we remember how to see it again, as if it was never gone.
