The Oracle sees what others were spared from seeing. They are not blessed. They asked for the truth and kept looking after it started to hurt. The marks on their face are not decoration. They are preparation. A way to brace the body before opening the mind to something it was never built to hold. The Oracle does not see what they want. They see what is there: the ending, the betrayal, the face in the dark, the thing waiting at the edge of the vision. People come to them for answers. The Oracle gives the answer away, but keeps the weight of seeing it.
