Chapter 2. DEATH
Evil or Good
Our inner demons — anger, envy, despair. Should we hide them, fight them, consider them unnatural? Or are they the forces that help us survive, keep us afloat, and navigate this world? Are they truly evil, or simply necessary? This dark creature, is she pulling the beautiful maiden into the depths, or keeping her from drowning?

LIFE. DEATH. REBIRTH.
This collection centers on a dark undine, a water spirit from Slavic mythology, as a reflection of the human psyche where light and shadow coexist.
The series explores transformation through darkness.
Existing between life and death, surface and depth, the undine embodies change as a liminal state in which identity dissolves and is reborn.
In folklore, she is a feared and mourned presence.
Here, she becomes a symbol of inner duality.
Water turns into memory, a space of dissolution, acceptance, and becoming.
She is not redeemed by light, but completed by shadow.
Artist Statement
This series was created to give form to emotions beyond language.
Through the undine, I explore life between worlds, the conscious and subconscious, the human and the elemental.
Life. Death. Rebirth. reflects inner alchemy, descending into darkness to find wholeness through acceptance.
Rebirth is not always luminous.
Sometimes it is quiet, shadowed, and profoundly honest.
