MUSE 3 Post-photography 4000 × 6000 Photographic portrait, digitally reworked by hand 2026 MU:SE is a series of digitally manipulated portraits, each a unique edition. The original photographs, taken five years ago, feature the same person, now absent from a life I no longer know. Reworked through successive layers, the image drifts from its referent, fragmenting and recomposing within memory until it becomes something else. Not a faithful trace of reality, but what has been retained, altered, and reinvented over time. Absence is not a disappearance. It becomes the condition for another form of presence.
