A dark fantasy reimagining of the classic "Beauty and the Beast" tale, viewed through the lens of Slavic mysticism. Instead of a grand royal gown and a safe castle, she stands in an intimate, translucent nightshirt and a wreath of roses, inside a pitch-black room cluttered with ancient books. The piece is woven from the symbolism of the four alchemical elements guiding the divination. Earth manifests as living roses breaking through the cold frame of the portal. Fire from the candles collides with the aggressive flames of the underworld. The dynamics of Air are frozen in the drifting petals and the curves of her hair. Water is embodied in the very image of the girl: under the crescent Moon, her nightshirt possesses a fluid, cascading shimmer, wrapping her body like a transparent surface of water. Yet, there is no fear in her posture—her soft touch against the glass speaks of a complete, spellbound acceptance of her frightening fate.
