Before the Leaves Fall
Before the Leaves Fall
This piece is about depression, recovery, and the quiet seasons we sometimes go through.
Sometimes, when we see all the leaves turning yellow and falling one by one, we may think the tree will never be a tree again. It may look empty, tired, and lifeless.
But maybe that season is not the end.
Maybe it is a time to rest.
A time to recover.
A time to be still.
We don’t always have to be in bloom.
We don’t always have to be full of color, energy, or beauty.
Sometimes we just need to wait gently, without being too hard on ourselves.
Depression can feel like that too a dark season where everything inside us feels quiet, heavy, and almost gone.
But seasons change.
And if you give yourself time, one day spring comes back.
And suddenly, you realize you are growing again.
You are becoming green again.
You are blooming again.
