Mirages

Personal objects contain multiple stories, and I remain in an eternal dialogue while observing them. In the series Mirages, a broken and burned CD along with drops of water become the starting point for a poetic exploration of perception and imagination. What was once a functional object is now a fractured remnant whose iridescent surface, when interacting with water, generates luminous landscapes that oscillate between the real and the fantastical. Each image in this collection is a material mirage: the remains of the disc no longer play anything, yet they reflect and refract light in unexpected ways, creating oceans of color, artificial auroras, and illusory depths. Mirages speaks of the fragility of digital memory, of obsolescence, and of how objects, once broken, release new narratives. Through close observation and constant reinterpretation, this series invites us to question what is real in what we see and to find, in the humblest remnants, the possibility of the sublime.
