For the past year, my practice has been driven by an almost obsessive engagement with the feeling of being overwhelmed and deeply tired. This exhaustion is not unfamiliar, it is a shared human condition. Because my work functions as a visual diary of my life, this sense of fatigue naturally marks the current chapter I am living through. Yet this feeling is not mine alone. I am observing a wider, systemic fatigue unfolding around us, shaped by political, social, and economic pressures, and felt especially heavily by women, who continue to carry immense and often invisible burdens. In response, I have been creating this body of work as a form of release: an outpouring of weight, emotion, and quiet resistance. I hope that when audiences encounter these works, they recognise something familiar, perhaps a shared desire to release what has been weighing them down.
