Comments: A buddy of mine named Kurt who was the Ten of Staffs in Smoke and Mirrors and also wrote a couple in depth essays on Twin Flames for my Christies auction as well as the Taschen NFT history book, as he was a twin who had lost his twin too, introduced me to a fella named Steven Wilson in Louisville Kentucky. Steve is a big time art collector and runs an art focused hotel called 21c, and they are in a few other states too. "21c Museum Hotel was founded by preservationists and contemporary art collectors Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson. The couple wanted to take an active role in the preservation and revitalization of downtown Louisville motivated by changes happening in and around their hometown. With the belief that art can be a vital part of daily life and a spark to ignite new energy and ideas, they created 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville. Their innovative idea developed into a center for culture, community, genuine hospitality, and artistic expression." Steve told us to come stay on his art farm with 1000 acres and hundreds of American bison grazing his land. We arrived and the first thing I saw was giant pink snail sculptures seemingly crawling through the road. We met Steve and offered us his guest house for a couple nights. We were in art and nature heaven! He took us out to one of his restaurant and I offered to pay for dinner and he said that was really weird and we all laughed. "You're my guest in my town at my restaurant." I was trying to be kind since he was being so gracious to us strangers. We quickly became friends as we shared the passion and love for art. He had us walk through an immersive installation after dinner which felt like fireflies in the night sky projected onto trees with calming ambient music. It was a transcendental experience, almost shamanic. Steve walked us back to his stables and showed us his horses and carriages. He was proud of his colts, he was breeding winners for the Kentucky Derby year after year! The clock strike midnight and I started to film him. He was an eccentric billionaire type and walked off into the darkness and didn't turn back. I think he called it a night and we saddled on our way back to the guest house. He flew out that morning to go see some art as he is very active in studio visits and museum outings. He said the farm was ours as no one was there except a few workers. Since we shot his portrait at midnight we had a free day and a bag of mushrooms that have been gifted to us on our travels. For some reason we kept on attracting them every state we went to people handed them to us like candy. So, we ate a handful and spent the day zip-lining into his pond. The dog was playing a game with us where he would try to bite my butt before I hit the water. It was a thrill until the line got caught and my butt got bit! I spent a few hours trying to fix it, it was like wrestling with a snake., I did not give up till it was back to normal. At some point I wounded it up neatly and then we ventured over to the giant pink snails and the family of brown buffalos. I think there were some orange elephants on the way too. The man had a zoo of art. We walked barefoot through the farm and reached the buffalos. They were magnificent creatures. There was a few babies we watched until sunset, while playing buffalo soldier by Bob Marley on repeat while smoking a few rasta joints. The mood was set and the vibes were high. The sky turned pink like the snails, a vibrant magenta pierced the clouds with shades of orange, like the elephant. In that moment everything was connected... As one is when you take psychedelics. Thank you Steve!!! Ethan and I spent the rest of the eve drinking tea and enjoying the artworks in the guest house. Some of which were coming to life and I remember this one painting of a naked yellow man with blue shadows right next to my bed and it made me cry. It felt so real and alive. The way art should make one feel when you look deeply into it. I laid in bed with my eyes closed. Seeing the colors of the day flow through the inside of my lids. The plant medicine wore off and felt a great sensation of peace and gratitude. I sent Steve a message right before cooking a mushroom dinner, not the trippy kind, and thanked him with grace and told him how magical our day had been. One of the greatest days of my life that I will never forget. It would be a dream to visit him and his buffalo again...
