The trees are all the same, yet they are characters from a cartoon. Different shapes and sizes. The plants are almost human... They look like they move like we do. We drove around the park from end to end and back again. June pointed out a tree from the desert forest. It was perfect. We parked and walked up to the tree to make her portrait. She approached the Joshua Tree and the wind blew her hat right off her head. The spirits of the land visited us as the wind. We watched the sun set on top of the boulders in the middle of the park. The sky grew purple and the land quietly dimmed. We met Lucy in the sky that night; As the sun was setting over the horizon. Ethan and I agreed to start the drive to the Grand Canyon. I invited June and Chadwick to stay the night at the desert bungalow since we had it for the night. Their anniversary was coming up so it felt right to share the home since we planned to leave in the night. They were thrilled and called off work.
