The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly) by Missy Elliott (1997). A fruit fly circuit watched it for 4:13 and walked on a sheet of paper. It laid 43,242 marks and covered 65.9% of the plate. Every color came off the video. Nothing is picked from a palette, matched to a reference, or corrected afterwards, so this palette belongs to the clip and to nothing else. One playthrough makes one plate. There is no composition step, no target image and no second pass. The picture is whatever residue six feet leave behind. A music video is light. A documented circuit walks. The fly did not compose this.
