The Space We Rest
Ukiyo 浮世
Ukiyo is my meditation on presence, on choosing to exist fully in a fleeting world. Inspired by the idea of the “floating world,” it reflects a quiet surrender to the moment, where the noise of life softens and what remains is connection.
For me, this piece grew out of a longing for stillness, for spaces where chaos cannot reach, where companionship becomes shelter. It speaks to the kind of closeness that asks for nothing but presence. The kind that allows you to exhale.
A reminder that even in a restless world, we can find warmth by being fully here, with ourselves, and with those who meet us in that stillness.
